John Davis
Consul
May 2019 -May 2020
Brothers,
Serving as the Chapters Consul from May 2019 to May 2020, has been quite an experience. I joined in August of 2018 and if you told me five years ago that I would be in fraternity, I would have laughed, but honestly, it has been the best decision I've ever made. Consul gave me the opportunity to continue the legacy of fostering lifelong friendships and creating the foundation that it needs to survive for generations to come. I have seen the chapter blossom from a club of 8-10 members to an organization of over 30 committed brothers that strive to make a difference in the lives of all that they encounter. It was truly an honor to serve as the Consul and in light of the many struggles that this chapter has overcome, I want to leave you with a quote that has stayed with me throughout the years;
“A pessimist is one who makes difficulties of his opportunities and an optimist is one who makes opportunities of his difficulties.”
-Harry S. Truman

Ramses Gerais
Consul
March 2018-January 2019
Brothers,
It was truly an honor and a privilege to serve as the first Consul for the Chapter. I remember when we first started, in March of 2018, with only myself and Brother Matthew Irwin. Our goal from the start was to build a fraternity with the sole purpose of creating a positive environment that would allow older brothers to mentor younger brothers, hone their leadership skills and foster lifelong friendships; Sigma Chi was the perfect fit for our vision. Today, our fraternity not only continues to fulfill this goal, but it strives to be the best Chapter at Towson University and one of the best Chapters in the nation. I have witnessed how much the fraternity has grown and more importantly the impact that it has on the brothers to be the best versions of themselves. Being apart of this brotherhood was the best decision I made during my college years and I truly cannot wait to see what the Fraternity will accomplish in the future.
